Yu Gi Oh- Anime Review

Now ima get LOTS of hate for this....but yugioh (original,gx) are all over all in a word :Bad.....

Original- This anime as everyone knows is centered on yugi/yami. It follows the story of the young boy from his adventures at pegasus's island to the finale where yugi vs yugi. The first season was ok. I mean yeah pegasus was a b**** and took his grandpa and all and he wanted him back. Well makes sense right. Season 2 battle city while thouroughly enjoyable. It was starting to get on my nerve that it is so damn predictable. Joey and Yugi against each other well you know nothing is going to happen I mean for godsake their main characters. Continuing on we get to season 3 heyy its marik (the girly villain who was passable at best for an evil villain). Anyway again while a little entertaining as duels it was easily predictable. Would yugi lose to bakura. NO. Would kaiba lose in the firs roundof his own tourny. No his ego is too big to lose. How bout joey. HELL NO. Its Joeyy right. Marik...do I even need to talk about him. Then he have that whole filler season with Noah and all which as funny as it may sound was my favourite season HA!. Continuing on we get to season 4 or whatever predictability continues. Season 5 and so on all predictable. The grand championship one was just horrible and boring..The last one while a little stupid. Brought the side villain his first chance to be awesome and he was...(for a while) and the last bit of it I have to admit was sad but that was because I watched as a child and for it to end was sad.

GX- Ok in the first one they went to school right but like only 5 times or something. Ok so I expected that they should atleast go to school or something. And boy did 4kids or whatever here me. They over did it alot (and that's an understatement) A freakin academy for dueling (I may sound hypocritical but this is just a forum where duelists can gather and stuff that was just ridiculous) NO NO NO NO They graduate??? what is that their high school degree. And not to mention more evil. Students are at one point treated as what zombies.. What type of school is this .. Evil teachers. Jaden uses horrible cards (but whatever right lots of little kids watch the show) . Just bad!!!! The ending was a bit of a cliffhanger but you can make your guesses about that right

Overall of both- Animation was pretty good but all anime have atleast decent animation right. Voicework was laughable at best and horrible comapred to the original japanese version. The story was hillariously predictable. The thing is the anime was dragged on wayyyyyyyy toooooooo longgggggggg. The spinoff (GX) was just more likely a ploy to sell more cards. I mean the first original was mediocre at best but we grew up with it right so we loved it. GX was not needed but I already mentioned the reason why it was most likely dubbed...

BTW I am reviewing the dub NOT the orignal which had a lot better voicework and stuff (but still wasn't all that great)

BTW the card game IRL is in my opinion very good and very structured. I love it and that's why I continue to play it until this day. In the show it was followed horribly. Except in GX I guess it was good there..

I don't wanna review 5D's cuz it looks horrible and a couple of glances at yahoo answers (on 5D's) makes me not even watch one episode. It reminds me of dragonball GT. A series that was ok but nothing compared to DBZ and especially the original
