PostSubject: J_Project Installation Guide {includes links, official website and much more...}   Mon Aug 03, 2009 10:49 pm

Hello and welcome to this guide for J_PROJECT or otherwise known as JP...

Index:
1: Installing
2: Using JP
a) Making a deck
b) Hosting/Connecting to Others.
3: Other Stuff
a) Other Notes
b) Credits

Step 1: Installing

First things first, here are the download links:

Images: http://jbyyxproject.googlecode.com/files/Images.zip
Setup: http://jbyyxproject.googlecode.com/files/J_PROJECT-0.1.5.exe

Now, once you have downloaded these two, your installation is half-way complete Very Happy

Now once downloads are done, run the setup file and it will by default install the files in your Program Files.

NOTE: Make sure you check all the files when it prompts you to. Install everything.

Now after you've installed that, open up your Images file. It should be in zip format and you can easily open it with WinZip or WinRAR.

After opening, extract all those images to C:\Program Files\J_PROJECT\src\Images and after extraction finishes, you are all done and almost ready to play JP.

Step 2: Using your JP System

Yay! We have JP running. Now lets learn to use it.

a)Making A Deck:

The
Deck Editing part should not be too hard, everything is easy to search
up. If there is a need to explain this I will... eh I will do it
anyways.

1: Click on Help->Update to update the set of cards that are already present.
2: Search for the cards you want on the search bar.
3: Click on the Add or Add to Side button to put them in the deck. Click on Remove button to Remove the card from deck. These buttons are situated on the right side of Advanced Search.
4: When finished, click Save Deck and give it a name.

NOTE: If you already have a saved deck in YVD then all you have to do is Tools->Import deck from YVD.

b) Hosting/Connectiong to others for the Duel.

Now all you have to do is look for someone to duel, XD

If your opponent is hosting, then all you have to do is:

Simply
press Game->Connect. After clicking that you will see a small window pop-up which say the following:
Connection

Address Enter Your opponent's Hamachi Address or His/Her IP
Port No need to change this. Leave it to how it is.
Nickname Enter here your hamachi or any other name your known by.
After That, Click on OK.

If you
are able to host IP on KCVDS, the same applies here. You can also host via Hamachi. Click on Game->Listen
instead of connect. Again it will look like this:

Listen

Port Again the same, don't change this.
Nickname Enter here your hamachi or any other name.

After changing those things, click on Get IP and change that to your Hamachi/IP address. Then give it to your opponent.

3) Other Stuff

a) Other Notes

Some good shortcuts to learn while first getting used to the game are:

Ctrl+S Shuffle
Ctrl+R Roll Die

you can change those in Help->Preferences.

The official website for J_Project is http://jproject.tk

I
think it only takes about one duel to feel comfy with it, and I will
certainly be there for anyone who wants to try it out, or have any
questions..
If you want interactive help join this Hamachi:

b) Credits

You will find all players who play JP here. If you want any help from me then join my ham <---which is the left of your screen right now. Hope you enjoyed this guide.

Credits: firstly, Toushiro for making his YVD guide which i basically copy-pasted here and changed/modified accordingly. Then to to J_BYXX for making JP, and lastly to The admins here for putting up this website for me to put up my guide.
Razz

See Ya In JP....
