Other cards are considered "Rare," and only in the possession of certain players. Only those players start with the cards, no other duelists may use them except by winning them. Remember, if you see a Rare Card listed under a player's profile, it belongs only to that player and is banned/limited for everyone else!
If you possess a rare card, you can use it in your deck without regard to the Banlist or Deck Limitations.
ALL "Rare Cards” are banned for this tourney, unless your character “owns” one. They can be acquired by starting with one as your character’s ability, finding one on the island, or winning it from someone in a wager. If two players meet on the island, they can conduct transactions using rare cards, star chips, other cards in their trunks, or KP.
Rare cards may be wagered in duels - the loser cannot use the wagered cards anymore, and the winner is allowed to use them.
Some rare cards have special effects or modified card text.
1. YUUGI MUTOU
1 Dark Magician. Can be normal summoned with NO tributes. He must use it in his deck. During the End Phase of his opponent's turn, if Yugi has no monsters on the field, he can move this card from his deck to the top of his deck.
1 Dark Magician of Chaos.
3 Black Magic Ritual. This card is used to Ritual Summon "Dark Magician of Chaos". You must also Tribute monsters from the field or your hand whose total Levels equal 8 or more. They must be wagered as a set.
1 Dark Magician Knight. It’s name can be treated as “Dark Magician” at any time the player chooses, and can be reverted at any time the player chooses.
1 Mystical Elf. If it is in face-up attack, during the main phase, Yugi can transfer all of its attack points to one other face-up monster on the field (leaving it with an attack power of 0).
1 each of all of the exodia pieces, which are considered rare. They must be wagered as a set.
1 swords of revealing light
1 “Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight”. It can also be used in the fusion summon of “gaia the dragon champion.” as Gaia the Fierce Knight. It can be normal summoned without tributes. Yugi must use it in his deck.
3 Spiral Spear Strike
When "Gaia the Fierce Knight", "Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight" or "Gaia the Dragon Champion" you control attacks a Defense Position monster, if the ATK of that card is higher than the DEF of the Defense Position monster, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. If "Gaia the Fierce Knight" or "Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight" inflicts Battle Damage with this effect, draw 2 cards and discard 1 card.
If "Gaia the Dragon Champion" inflicts Battle Damage with this effect, draw 3 cards and discard 2 cards.
1 mind crush. If Yugi chooses wrong, he does not have to discard a random card.
1 “obnoxious celtic guard.” It can be Special Summoned from the hand, but if you use this effect, it cannot be tributed. It cannot be destroyed by a spell, or by a monster with 1400 atk or more.
1 Beaver Warrior. Once per turn, you can return this card to your deck to draw 1 card.
1 Feral Imp. Once per turn, you can return one card from your hand to your deck to add this card from your deck to your hand.
1 Summoned Skull. Requires no tributes. He must use it in his deck.
1 Giant Soldier of Stone. It cannot be destroyed by a spell, trap, or monster effect. He must use it in his deck.
2 sets of 3 gadgets (red, yellow, green) (like Bandit Keith)
A set of 2 rare cards: black luster soldier and black luster ritual. When special summoned, black luster soldier has the same effect as Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning. However yugi must perform the black luster ritual to summon it! (it can be special summoned with Monster Reborn, if correctly summoned first)
