PostSubject: Demise King of Armageddon   Tue Jul 28, 2009 10:14 pm

Demise king of Armageddon, freaky name isnt it? Sounds powerfull xD
It is! It's one of the best ritual monster there is,probablly the only one people are still using quite honestly.
The card as read can deal amazing damage to your opponent(Its like Judgment dragon only instead of 1000 the cost is 2000 Very Happy)

Demise King of Armageddon:
This card can only be ritual summoned with the ritual spell card "End of the world",You can pay 2000 Life Points to destroy all cards on the field except this one.

Now an easy and commonly used way to search this card out would be "Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands" or "Senju of the Thousand Hands"

Sonic Bird would also work.

How the deck works:This is basically an OTK with high potential

There are several OTK tactics that can be used.

E.g:
You can use advanced ritual art:

Select 1 Ritual Monster in your hand. Send Normal Monsters from your Deck to the Graveyard whose total Levels are equal to that Ritual Monster's.
Ritual Summon a card with the name of the selected Ritual Monster from your hand.

Make sure the cards you sendd to the grave are level 4 insects(Insect knight preferabally)
Now since you have two insects in your grave you can remove them to summon Doom Dozer:

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by removing from play 2 Insect-Type monsters from your Graveyard.
When this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, send 1 card from the top of your opponent's Deck to the Graveyard

but be sure to activate the activate the effect of Demise King before you summon Doom Dozer or it'll get blown too
Now since you used demise's effect you lost 2000 LP and probablly have less LP than your opponent, that when you spring up a megamorph on Doom Dozer to OTK Your opponent.

Wikia talks about another OTK:

Another variation of this OTK uses Dark Strike Fighter to win. This OTK uses Demise, King of Armageddon, "Black Salvo", Advanced Ritual Art/ Contract with the Abyss, and 2 monsters with at least 1 DARK Machine. Using Advanced Ritual Art to send 2 level 4 DARK Machine-type monsters(usually Mechanicalchaser or Blocker) to the graveyard and summon Demise, King of Armageddon. Then pay 2000 Life Points to destroy all cards on the field. Then summon "Black Salvo" and special summon a one of the monsters you sent to the graveyard using ARA(Advanced Ritual Art) to synchro summon Dark Strike Fighter. Then attack your opponent directly with both monsters. Then, tribute Demise, King of Armageddon with Dark Strike Fighter's effect to inflict damage then tribute Dark Strike Fighter for it's own effect for a total of 8000 damage.
If you had Contract with the Abyss in your hand,
the OTK is more situational since it requires 2 Level 4 monsters with at least 1 DARK Machine

So a good deck list can be:

3 Black Salvo
3 Demise, King of Armageddon
3 Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands
3 Mechanicalchaser
1 Sangan
3 Senju of the Thousand Hands
3 Sonic Bird

1 Advanced Ritual Art
2 Allure of Darkness
1 Brain Control
3 End of the World
1 Heavy Storm
1 Monster Reborn
1 Mystical Space Typhoon

2 Bottomless Trap Hole
1 Mirror Force
3 Reckless Greed
3 Solemn Judgment
2 Threatening Roar

3 Dark Strike Fighter(Advanced format only not on KCVDS)

A mistake people make VERY often:

I was dueling a few people and they used this combo,
Its good thinking actually but there is a flaw,They tributed demise after using its effect for Great Maju Gazrett and then megamorph it for an OTK,BUT(The but Very Happy)Megamorph only doubles the original attack and the attack maju recives is not original attack.

Card Ruling that might be helpfull:

1. If "Demise, King of Armageddon" would destroy "Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins" and at least 1 "Crystal Beast" card in your opponent's Spell/Trap Zone,
then "Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins" is not destroyed because of the "Crystal Beast" card

2.You can activate the effect of "Demise, King of Armageddon" when your opponent controls "Field Barrier" and a Field Spell Card. However,
the Field Spell Card would not be destroyed by "Demise, King of Armageddon"'s effect

3.When "Final Destiny"/"Demise, King of Armageddon"/etc would destroy "Power Tool Dragon" and an Equip Spell Card simultaneously,
you cannot apply the effect of "Power Tool Dragon" and send the Equip Spell Card to the Graveyard instead

4.If "Mermaid Archer" and the equipped monster would be destroyed simultaneously by "Demise, King of Armageddon"/"Judgment Dragon"/"Final Destiny"/etc,
then you cannot apply the effect of "Mermaid Archer" and destroy the equipped monster instead

5.If "Imperial Custom" is active and an effect like "Heavy Storm" or "Demise, King of Armageddon" or "Malevolent Catastrophe" would destroy all Spell and Trap Cards on the field,
then "Imperial Custom" is destroyed, but all other face-up Continuous Trap Cards are not destroyed and remain on the field

Ruling Source:Yu-Gi-Oh Wikia

Thank you for your time I hope you enjoyed it.

Demise OTK, unfortunately, it fail this format. With everyone going around running Threatening Roar, if you overextend and go for demise, you're absolutely screwed. Cuz, let's look at all the cards the OTK needs to function:

1 Black Salvo
1 Advanced Ritual Art
1 Demise the King of Armageddon

Also, you need to NOT draw into 2 Mechanicalchaser. Advanced Ritual Art is limited, however, you do run 3 ways to search it which is good. But anyway. You'll have a 3 card hand likely made of of dead cards- since if the OTK fails (which it may do on a consistent basis) you don't have many "outs" to synchros and your opponent mounting an offense at you back.

Also - Don't run EotW in 3s, it's better in 2s, from what i've seen. 3 is overkill and leads to dead hands. Only run 3 if you plan on teching in Summoner Monks.

Also this NEEDS Trunade.. And if you can't fit it in, but it over Mystical Space Typhoon as this is an OTK after all.

Anyway great article you explain the Demise Salvo OTK well.

You know maybe it fails in real life but quite honestly in KCVDS it works amazingly I ran a demise deck for months last year and honestly never use to lose basically never prolly had a couple of loses with it stopped using it ciz everyone basically complained bout it and it was literally tournament illegal but don't call it fail it still is hella powerful in KCVDS

Nice article here. Demise is good in itself. But like mentioned earlier, it easily gets stopped by cards like roar and waboku...many others. But then again there is a way to get around there. You could have mentioned that in your article and maybe to get a way around that. Remember to mention weakness and how to fight against those weaknesses. Good decklist...maybe a small explanation on that overall. But really nice. I'll rate it 8.5/10. Keep it up Neji Very Happy
