A video was posted of the SUPPOSED ban list for Sept. 1.

So here's what it is:

Newly Forbidden:

CCV
COSR
Monster Reborn
DSF

I'm
really glad to see Monster Reborn and DSF banned. Those two cards made
OTKs so easy. Also, what my friend ICanHealAIDS said, "Monster Reborn
makes any hand a god hand" was completely true. -.-

However, CCV
and COSR? This makes me a very sad panda. COSR was nice.. And I was
hoping it would go back to 2, and hoping LS would get hit another way.
I WANT ZOMBIES BACK!

CCV was pretty broken, but DDV actually
had a bigger impact against decks like Cat Synchro and such. So, I'm
sad to see that go.

So far.. I'm sad with the ban list, since COSR really didn't need to go.

hate the ban list with a f-ing passion. They're ******* limiting SOLEMN
JUDGMENT? This is really going to hurt anti-meta, skill drain, macro..
since they'll be forced to use the sucky bribe, a +1 for your opponent.


Gale limited? I have to say, that's good. That thing was so
broken.. I'm glad to see it -almost- gone. BRD limited? I saw no reason
for that, and it's not going to make a huge impact. Bah. Whatever.

Call of the Haunted is back.. yay, a worse equivalent for Reborn.

Cold Wave gone? That also makes me a sad panda. I like Cold Wave.. Nice in Monarchs, OTK decks, and gbeats.

Demise? Wtf? Demise DSF otk is dead anyway.. with dsf banned. Stupid stupid stupid.

JD is limited. YES! Now you can happily bottomless JD and it will be gone forever.

Mind Control at 1 really hurts a lot of decks. Not sure I like that. 2 would be better.

Rescue Cat at one is nice. Bye bye cat synchro.

Again.. Solemn at 1? asfjaslkjfaslkfjaslkdf screw the ban list.

Monk at one is good.. but.. cat synchro is already dead.. now this
hurts all the tier2 ish telemonk monkdrain and monkdad builds. =[

like 3s of DDWL and Breaker, this is definitely going to help stun. 3
DDWL and 3 DD assailant also could make zeta even more competitive. 3
Fissure is gonna be nice for anti-meta. It's gonna add more control.
Startard might see more play.

Green Baboon isn't gonna change much. Very few people ran it anyway.

3s of Raiza is gonna be nice for Monarchs. I'm likin' it.

in all.. Ban list is decent. Some very bad aspects, and some good
aspects. I'm really pumped to try a control-twilight-zombie-dhero-skill
drain-stun running 3 fissure, 2 chasorc, 2 honest, and best of all.. 2
mezuki! ^^ with psz this is really gonna help burialzombiedad.


Haha overall from 1-10, I'd give this banlist a 6.

wow, i officially HATE Konami now!!

I think {if this ban-list comes true} that Konami made the ban-list aiming on Synchro-Cat decks -_- they made summoner monk, rescue cat, DSF and such cards to be banned or limited so synchro cats are now officially not usuable. Also CCV is bad and good news for me, it made my cat decks tottaly useless and made some noobs back to noobs(if you know what i mean).

Good thing they limited Gale though, it deserved it all the way...Also Demise was in that list of the to-be-limited list along with gale. An i had the same reaction as Bertha for Solemn, O.O

BTH semi limited, o.O now they've made meta and anti-meta really tough and challenging. Also i didn't see any point for Chaos sorcerer as Spllcastors are really out now. Honest IMO should be limited rather than semi.

Breaker unlimited FTW, i think they are trying to bring the spellcastors back to life, well, looks like Breaker is gonna partially replace Solemn, DDWL unlimited, O.O wow thats big news as DDWL can totally pwn, unlimiting it was a bit stupid though. Fissure, WOW it also pwns but again making it unlimited was a bit stupid. Baboon is not gonna be much trouble as the only meta Beast type deck, Syncho Cats have gone to grave. And raiza is also gonna help the Monarchs to back to life, thats nice i guess.

Overall i'll like say that i'm quite sad as they killed Synchro cats, my most used tier deck, made LS zombies, and BW are still gonna kill but Gale was a big hit though. Solemn and Monster Reborn was a big hit to everyone who plays YGO. On ratings i'll givve this ban-list 4.5/5 out of 10. Hope it doesn't come true, well most of it, Happy Dueling...

If this is the real banlist, minus the loss of cold wave, I will rejoice with my sexy monarch deck I built!

This is good for Anti-Meta decks (outside of CCV and Solemn). A wise man once said: "Soon, the Anti-Meta will become the Meta."

well the only difference between the TCG ban list and OCG, is that some cards are only in the OCG, so they wont be limited in our format, other than that, no notable differences will be included as far as i know

As for LS...when JD and honest, supposedly got a limit, it wasn't very intimidating, nor did it make any sense. because, LS impact on OCG wasn't that great. I mean they won a few local tourneys here and there, But BWs and Synchro Cat, won pretty much everything. Also plants did some damage and did better than most synchro cat decks. Also, in our format, LS was good, but it wasn't like a problem with no solution. Which is why LS wasn't effected.Remember Konami decides the ban list based on what decks are winning throughout the format, cards used the most, winning consistency, etc. You can check Shriek for past tournaments in the OCG format to try and justify this ban list

Also, some of u guys are overrating to the changes they made. Meta is everconstant, doesnt stay the same forever, and it doesnt make any sense predicting, or rather worrying about what decks are gonna be used in the new format, when it hasnt even happened yet. Being prepared is good, stressing your self over nothing isn't
